LISTEN TO MY INTERVIEW
WITH FR. ROBERT McTEIGUE
During Holy Week I was honored to be a guest on “The Catholic Current,” a weekly conversation program hosted by Jesuit Priest, Fr. Robert McTeigue, S.J., Ph.D.
The subject of our talk was my novel about the family of Jesus, “My Brother’s Keeper.” Fr. Robert posed the question: “Would you try to save Christ from His cross?” — since my book is about the efforts of James, whom the Bible describes as “the brother of the Lord,” to do just that.
“The Catholic Current” is heard on stations around the country, and is also available online. Check it out when you have the chance…
It’s also available on iTunes, Spotify, and Stitcher.

Very interesting interview, particularly your approach to developing context and character (seeing things in a broad realistic view — taking into consideration the many elements of the scaffolding around which opinions and actions are formed and performed).
As to the book, I found your approach extremely admirable, allowing events to unfold more accessibly and understandably.
Wish you could apply that level of objectivity that is sorely lacking in your blog — which all too often comes across as entrenched, blindly judgmental, painting so many things with a broad smug brush, encompassing one-dimensional concepts of good & bad & left & right.
Listen to your interview. Bring that approach to bear on TODAY in the REAL world. We would all be MUCH better for it.

Al, thank you so much for your complimentary and encouraging remarks — both about the interview and about MY BROTHER’S KEEPER.
Speaking in an entrenched and smug way, let me say that I shall try to be less blindly judgmental in my blogging.
Your observations are always appreciated. God bless…
